In May 2020 we published the report of the research Dr Chris Dolan conducted for the South Australian Secondary Principals’ Association (SASPA), South Australian Primary Principals’ Association (SAPPA), and the University of South Australia (UniSA). Paradox in the Lives and Work of School Principals is important research.  It explores a range of ambiguities, contradictions, and tensions principals experience in fulfilling the dual roles of school community leader and system leader.

“The Thriving Principal” is a SASPA professional learning program designed to equip principals to better work within the tensions and paradoxes Dr Dolan described so well. This is a tremendous opportunity for principals to provide and receive strategically focused peer learning.
