Develop Your Feedback Skills
This Learning Day is ideal for schools that are committed to developing a stronger feedback culture. The workshop will help you to explore what holds you back from giving effective feedback, and will present a breakthrough approach to enable you to act rather than worry or avoid. Through live demonstrations and experiential learning, you will learn how to use some practical tools to give effective feedback and how to avoid the twin dangers of ‘pussyfooting’ and ‘clobbering’.
You will also be encouraged to switch sides, reflect on how you typically respond to feedback given to you, and explore how you could use this feedback to become more aware of your own blindspots.
Objectives of the Learning Day:
- To develop the skills and confidence to hold feedback conversations that combine rigour, honesty and sensitivity and result in positive change.
- To explore the underlying power dynamics that will help your feedback to land effectively with the other person.
- To be open to accepting feedback and using it to grow professionally and personally.
Individual coaching and group coaching modules are available to follow on from this Learning Day.
