2019 Transforming Schools Network with Yong Zhao

Are you transforming your school?  If so, have you considered becoming a member of SASPA’s “World Class Learners” Network facilitated by Professor Yong Zhao?
In 2018, SASPA formed a fee for service partnership with Professor Yong Zhao, author of the 2012 best seller, “World Class Learners: Educating Creative & Entrepreneurial Students”.
This partnership has seen Professor Yong Zhao work with a network of 10 secondary schools for the 12 months from June 2018 – May 2019.  Each school has paid 10% of the cost associated with retaining Professor Yong Zhao’s professional input and support (i.e.$7500 per school).

The Partnership in Entrepreneurial Education Revolution (PEER) network consists of staff and student social-action groups from Brighton, Charles Campbell, Heathfield, Glenunga, Marryatville, Norwood-Morialta, Seaton, Thebarton, Victor Harbor and Wirreanda.  Click here to see the work these school have been doing.
The network uses an inquiry-based methodology to empower learners and equip them to undertake intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial activity.
Professor Yong Zhao’s interests are:

  • Engagement (for learning)
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Global Connectedness.

The due date for expressions of interest is 9:00am, Friday 29th March.  Should more than 10 expressions of interest be received, a process will follow to ascertain which schools will be invited to be in the 2019/2020 network, and which will get access in the following year (i.e, 2020/2021 network).  Please note that we anticipate the same fee for service cost in 2019 as there was in 2018.  Therefore your expression of interest should factor your capacity to commit to this contribution.
