Meeting the Challenges of Teaching and Assessing the General Capabilities

Please join us for the last SASPA Twilight Seminar for 2018 at Thebarton Senior College.  SASPA members are welcome as no cost as part of their SASPA membership.

Non-members are more than welcome for a small registration cost.

Guest Speaker: Hassan Mekawy, Manager, Professional Learning and Networks (SACE Board SA)

Hassan will speak about the cross-sectoral work that is occurring under the auspices of the SACE Board as to how South Australia’s educators might meet the challenges of teaching and assessing (monitoring and reporting) the General Capabilities.  He will be able to take us beyond the conceptual understanding of this work to the practical considerations we will need to address in our schools and classrooms.

Q&A Panel: Following participant conversations in response to Hassan’s input, a small Q&A panel will be formed (i.e., Hassan plus 2 members of the SASPA Board).  The panel will listen to comments and field as many questions as possible before each panel member provides their summary observation about the challenges of undertaking this work.
